Welcome to the Bristol City Buses blog created to accompany the new book "Bristol City Buses" to be published by Amberley Publishing in mid March 2014. This blog will go live during the first weeks of April and I welcome your comments concerning the book or, indeed, the subject matter. Please re-visit this site then.

  1. Hello Mike. I've just finished reading the book and have enjoyed it immensely - thanks for all the hard work that goes into all of your publications. I popped by to say that I had spotted the error in the last caption, but of course Allan beat me to it! I'm glad I did though, because I never knew that Alan was your brother, so there you go!

Have you seen the amazing news that the last FLF, C7262, has turned up in Germany intact and in completely original condition - it looks like it has hardly turned a wheel since being withdrawn in 1994.

All the best - see you at a rally at some point this year.

  3. Not sure if this is a suitable place for questions about routing. Prompted by your caption in the book about a returning school bus working back into bristol as a 326, Morrisons at Chippenham ( bear with me here) has a large picture on its wall of a presumably bristol bus , rear view, with a T indicator showing PATCHWAY 326, taken at Chippenham Market Square. The reg number is partly visible but i cant recall. Any Ideas??? westinghouse perhaps
